Podolasia: Monotypic Peat-Swamp Aroid

Podolasia is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family native to Borneo, Sumatra, and Peninsular Malaysia. The sole species, Podolasia stipitata, thrives in tropical humid forests and peat swamp habitats, displaying leathery arrow-shaped leaves, a white inflorescence that turns purple during anthesis, and erect spikes of red berries.
