Phyllotaenium: Tropical Tuberous Aroid

Phyllotaenium is a monotypic genus of tuberous geophytes in the Araceae family, with its sole species Phyllotaenium lindenii native to the wet tropical forests of Panama and Colombi. Its lanceolate foliage, pendent inflorescences with pale green spathes, and molecular phylogenetic evidence distinguish it from related genera in the tribe Caladieae.
